We support local fundraising efforts in our North Tahoe Community for projects and individuals who are not a designated 501 non-profit, because they have a harder time raising funds.
The Holiday Wish Box project has been serving Tahoe Donner Seniors for 35 years. The Tahoe Donner Senior Apartments, is a low-income (average income $1,200 monthly) housing center for senior citizens. Residents fill out a wishcard with specific wish.
Donors grant wishes by purchasing items requested. Items may be ordered online and delivered directly to the center, or purchased locally and delivered or picked up. The goal is to have all wishes delivered by Dec. 8th, in time for the residents’ holiday party. Scroll down for the list of Wishes.
