Join the Robot Rumble team at the Truckee Roundhouse to design and construct your very own Robot Body to battle at the 2025 Maker Show on June 8th!
The Workshop: Gather your team of 1-4 people, to build a unique Robot Body, designed to fit onto RC Robot Bases (modified mobility scooters).
Materials and Tools provided:
- Cardboard, Campaign board. Metal Trash Cans * Teams may bring their own trash can if they want to keep their Robot body.
- Fasteners: wire, screws, hot glue, staples, zip ties, tapes
- Body Parts: Metal Obtainium bits provided, teams are welcome to bring upcycled parts to use
- Tools: Power drills & drivers, dremel tools, utility cutters, pliers, wire cutters, staple guns, hot glue guns, etc.
- Makers are encouraged to bring their own tools.
After the Workshop:
- Teams can either leave their Robot body at Truckee Roundhouse until the show, or take home their Robot Body to continue working on it in the three weeks prior to the Maker Show.
- Teams give their Robot Body a personality and backstory to be narrated during the Robot Rumble battles.
- Teams are encouraged to design a team logo to be used to make team swag.
All team members will receive:
- Free ticket to the Maker Show
- Early entry to practice with RC Robot Base
- Robot Rumble Team Lanyard
At the Maker Show, Sunday June 8:
- Early entry; Robot Bodies are installed onto RC Robot Bases, Robot driving practice time
- 11:00 am Robot Parade at the opening of Maker Show
- 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm Scheduled Robot Rumble Battles

Shannon O’hare: Robot Rumble co-developer, Obtainium Works Founder, builder of the Neverwas Haul (Drivable 3-story Steampunk house featured at Maker Faire, Burning Man).
Eli Meyer: Robot Rumble co-developer, Maker, Architectural Designer, Drafter, Tech geek.

Morning Session: 9: 00 am – 12:00 pm
Afternoon Session: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Class Fee: $65 per person, all ages
Level: Beginner to Advanced
Ages: 10 to adult. Kids under 16 must be accompanied by a parent. One adult per two youths.
