Judi Morales Meyer
Judi believes sewing should be fun, instead intimidating or complicated. She teaches all levels of sewing at Truckee Roundhouse Maker Space, and particularly enjoys teaching beginners. Her goal is to make sewing accessible to people of all ages, and to empower her students. Guerilla Upcycled Sewing Judi’s radical way of sewing without patterns, using designer’s shortcuts and upcycled textiles. Judi also teaches Encaustic Painting, a sultry hot beeswax paint medium.

Judi has been sewing, designing and making art for more than 40 years, with a focus on sustainability and upcycled materials. She’s been teaching adults and children for 20 years and vends her creations at Maker Events and Etsy. Judi is focused on educating members of her local North Tahoe community, including local Youth Programs for low-income families.
