Responsible Shopping

Fast Fashion Clothing:
Overconsumption of new cheap goods leads to having to get rid of old goods. Clothing is the most common category, which may make us feel better about ourselves, but it is problematic. Most thrift stores cannot process and sell the huge quantity of donations so excess is either sent to the landfills, or packed on pallets and sent to developing countries for cheap sale. The problem is, these cheap American garments can be sold cheaper than garments make in the local economy. This causes clothing manufacturers to go out of business, creating job loss and overall hurts the local economy.

Choose Quality:
When purchasing new items, research the item via reviews to make sure you’re purchasing an item that won’t immediately fail and become trash.
