I had an amazing weekend. Two fantastic events. Art. Music. Dancing. Art cars. Amazing People. And all within 5 miles of my house!
Friday night was the Downtown Vallejo Art Walk, a monthly event that happens every 2nd Friday.
I set up my Steampunk Trailer at Integrit-Tea on Marin Street just a block from The Hub. Thank you to Allison and Howard for hosting me!
The jug band at The Hub set a great vibe for the event… and did I mention funnel cakes? There are so many new shops, galleries and studios downtown, along with dozens of guest artisans exhibiting and vending their work. A special thanks to Ozcat Radio DJ King David, for pumping tunes all night. The sidewalk dance party was the perfect way to end the night!
And then…. on Saturday night, I participated in the Obtainium Works St. Patricks Fundraiser. So much Steampunk… art cars, amazing clothing, contraptions, robots that make drinks and a mobile Irish coffee bar.
Perhaps the best part was getting to spend some quality time in the Neverwas Haul. Thank you so much to Shannon and Kathy O’Hare for hosting a fun night for local Steampunkers.
I’ve never had so much fun in my own back yard.
It was great seeing you Friday night at the Vallejo Art Walk! Love your work!
