Why is it… that when your world is in chaos, all you have to hear is “Everything is going to be alright”. Somehow that simple declaration gives us hope that when the dust settles, it will indeed be alright. I am happy to report that it will always be alright… eventually.
Chaos is a funny thing. It’s extremely distracting, very stressful and horribly disorienting. We helplessly spin inside it, try to claw our way out and fight it all the way. It’s instinctual to attempt to regain control but the truth is… control is simply an illusion.
I finally learned to stop fighting it and just accept choas, hold on and go for the ride. It has to shoot you out somewhere, right? Just like riding the Tardis, when chaos stops spinning, you find yourself in a completely different end of the Universe.
As it turns out, that’s a good thing. Sometimes landing in an alternate Universe is better.
The chaos ride I’ve been on for the past couple of years is finally coming to an end… the Tardis is slowing down and coming in for a landing. I’ve put my Sonic Screwdriver and survival skills to the test. I have to say, I truly like where I’ve landed. Who knew the happy end of the Universe would be in Lake Tahoe?
If you find yourself spinning out of control in your own chaotic space vessel, my advice is to strap yourself in, use the tools you have and remember that everything will be alright.
Oh, and don’t be afraid of all the weird alien creatures… they are not all bad.
