Greetings my fellow makers. I’m coordinating maker-vendors for two super-fun events this summer, so I’m hoping to inspire you all to participate. Here are the details:
Truckee Roundhouse Maker Show: Sunday June 26th, 2022
Truckee Airport, Truckee California
Back for the first time since COVID. Join us for this celebration of art, community, and ingenuity at our 6th annual Maker Show! On June 26th, join our community of makers at our home at the Truckee Roundhouse at the Truckee Tahoe Airport. This is our largest outreach and community event of the year. Join local makers and share in the awe and wonder of their creations. We’ll have an eclectic assortment of interactive arts, technologies, hobbies and projects along with food trucks, beer, art cars, kids activities, micro workshops, demonstrations, tours of the makerspace, silent auction, and raffle prizes. Obtainium Cup Contraptor’s Race: Sunday July 31st, 2022
Vallejo, California
The 2022 Obtainium Cup Contraptor’s Rally on Saturday, July 30th is a wonderful day of whimsy brought to you by Steampunk crew of Obtainium Works, best known for the Mad Hatter Holiday Parade and the Neverwas Haul. The wacky obstacle rally is a competition of handmade human-powered contraptions, facing challenges like Flying Monkeys, Robots and Zombies. Participants and guests come dressed in character, creating a carnival atmosphere. This family-friendly event includes music, art, food and fantastic hand-made goods including art, cosplay and Inde Design fashion. Join us!
